According to a report, the reason why many NFL teams passed up on West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith was due mostly to the fact that he acted like a "spoiled brat" before the 2013 NFL Draft.
It's unknown which team made the claim, but a source is saying that it was a 10-top draft team who claimed that they thought Smith was a diva. Also an NFC scout went as far as to say that Smith [who was drafted in the 2nd round by the New York Jets] would have a hard time with the New York crowds.
"He's going to have a hard time in New York," the NFC scout said. "Right now, he's coming off as a spoiled, pampered brat."
According to an Yahoo Sports article, Smith spent most of his time on his phone calling/texting people during team meetings leading up to the draft, and when asked about his character Smith said that who he is and how he plays speaks for itself.
Yeah... a real diva for you.
