The New York Jets don't know what they're going to do with their quarterback situation, as now it's being reported that the Jets could keep Mark Sanchez and just simply DUMP Tim Tebow.
The rumor started making the rounds after the Jets drafted West Virginia QB Geno Smith in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft on Saturday. With the added addition of Smith, the Jets have six quarterbacks on the team.
The Jets have shown signs that they'll "keep" Sanchez [due in part to their huge investment in Sanchez].
Although we're a few days removed from the NFL draft, it's become apparent that Smith and Sanchez will be going toe-to-toe for the starting quarterback job.
The Jets [last season] never gave Tebow much of a chance at being the starting quarterback, but instead have Tebow, occasionally, on special teams or in the wildcat formation.
General manager John Idzik and head coach Rex Ryan haven't indicated what the future of the Jets QB situation will look like, including who will be traded or released from the team.
