Even though Dwight Howard has already announced [via Twitter] his decision of leaving the Los Angeles Lakers for the Houston Rockets, it's being reported that Howard was split 50-50 on his decision, according to a source.
After Howard landed in Los Angeles Friday evening, he contacted the L.A. Lakers and reportedly told them that he's split on staying or leaving for the Rockets.
The source also said,
He changed his mind. Hey, he's Dwight. What can you say.
It's being said that what got Howard thinking about staying with the Lakers was the extra $30 million the team was going to pay Howard if he had re-signed with the team, while every other team that wanted Howard could only offer him $88 million.
Howard has already changed his Twitter avatar photo [above] to reflect him joining the Houston Rockets.
